Media Buying For Long Term Revenue
Forget adwords, media buying is the way to go for long term profits, the basics of this method involve buying advertising space on a high traffic website in your chosen niche and placing banner or text ads on there home page.
The first thing to be done in media buying is finding the right product to promote, so go to www.clickbank.com and create an account if you don’t already have one, once your signed in, click on the tab at the top named marketplace, on the left hand side you will find the category section, for this example we will click on health and fitness, this will then display all the programs available for you to promote in this niche.
At the top of this category in second place is a program called: Fat burning furnace, now this is a good product for media buying, if you look down at the stats you will see this product has a high gravity rating Grav: 366.40 this means that there are plenty of other affiliates promoting this product and earning good commissions from it, so to me this would be an ideal choice to promote,
Notice I did not go for the product in first place, due to the lack of advertising materials available to you from that merchant. With media buying you are going to need your merchant to supply banner ads for you to promote with.
Now click on the title of this product, its high lighted in red, once you’re on the product page sales letter, scroll down to the bottom of the page and here you will find the affiliate program link, this is were you will find all the tools you need for media buying, including the banner ads.
Cost per lead products work very well with media buying, so you don’t have to use clickbank, here are a few places to find CPA products to promote.
Now you have found the program you want to promote, let’s head over to www.adbrite.com a media buying company and sign up for an account. Once you’ve arrived at adbrites buy ads sell ads page, click on learn more on buy ads, this will take you to there create a campaign page, my advice is to click the site directory tab at the top of the page, here you will be taken to all the available websites for you to advertise on.
Spend some time getting used to the site before placing your ad. The product I chose from clickbank was fat burning furnace, so I would click health in the category section to the left, this then brings up various websites for me to advertise on, once I’ve found a suitable site, I then click on the more info link next to the thumbnail image of the website, this will then take you to your ad options. Not all media buying companies are as clear as this one.
I always use banner or text ads on a CPM {cost per thousand impressions} rate, try to find a website which charges less than $1.00 per CPM. I will then tick the banner ad and click buy ad, this then takes you to a page were you can choose location gender and age which helps get highly targeted traffic, depending on your product niche tick the boxes you require, and then click on set budget, I recommend a daily budget of between $10 to $50 to start with, once your earnings start to rise, you can aim for the higher traffic websites which charge allot more, but your conversions will rise to.
This will then take you to a page were you can upload your banner image and url destination, once this has been done, click on confirm order and enter your payment details, and your advert will start soon.
When using media buying try various ads until you hit on the ones that consistently pull in a good profit margin, once you have one profit pulling ad in place, start another and then another until you have an army of ads earning a regular income for you, I stated in the title that you can make $50 a day with this method, and this is easily achievable, but if done correctly you can earn allot more than that.
Another great place for media buying is www.blogads.com click on the tab at the top of the page named hives, this will take you to a huge selection of niche blogs, choose the niche market your after and click on check out this hive, this will then display all the available blogs you can place your ad on, it also displays the prices, and as you will see some are very expensive, so choose the one’s you can afford.
Media buying can sometimes be expensive so another way to find cheap websites to advertise on, is to type your niche keyword into Google and copy the urls of the first page websites, {do not copy the sponsored ads} now go to www.quantcast.com and type in each ulr you’ve just copied from Google into there search tool at the top of the page, this will now bring back all the information about this site, including how many visitors a month and the demographics. This is a great media buying tool.
On the right hand side, you will see audience also likes, now this is were you start to find the cheaper sites to advertise on, as the one’s you found on Google are very high traffic site’s which mean very expensive ad cost. So just keep ploughing the site’s you find from audience also likes into quantcast search until you have about ten affordable websites and then get in touch with the one’s you like the look of, quantcast also lets you know if the website allows advertising.
And there you have it, Media buying the easy way.
